Choosing a counsellor can be difficult, as the therapeutic relationship is so important to working through personal challenges.

Research has found that practising a person-centred, empathetic approach during counselling, which provides a safe, accepting relationship between the therapist and client, is key to the process of client self-discovery and actualisation. Zara believes that a strong focus on the client-therapist relationship is the basis for all therapeutic work.

My Counselling Approach is
Person-Centred and Eclectic

Person-Centred Therapy emphasises your natural ability for self-healing and self-actualisation, where the counsellor provides a supportive, empathetic and non-judgemental environment, allowing you, the expert of your own life, to lead the session and find solutions that work individually for you, fostering personal growth and self-discovery.

Eclectic approach integrates and draws from a range of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, tailoring support to meet your unique needs, interests, and goals in the most effective way.

This process places a strong emphasis on collaboration and encourages active participation throughout.

Together, we work in partnership to explore what’s important to you and identify what's needed to create meaningful, lasting change.

This collaboration builds a trusting therapeutic relationship, central to this process, and serves as the foundation for personal growth and overcoming barriers, supporting you in living a more authentic, fulfilling, and meaningful life.
